Scientific Dive experience

I conducted scientific dives for the Comisión Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas in Cozumel, Mexico, using transects to assess fish biodiversity, identified to species level

As a citizen scientist, I helped monitor reefs through Reef Check and REEF in Tobago, Belize, Indonesia, Bonaire, and Honduras

In conjunction with a dive training scholarship through Global Underwater Explorers (GUE), I helped pilot a seagrass monitoring project for recreational divers and participated in a documentary about project diving in Sardinia, Italy

I participate in kelp forest monitoring surveys with Reef Check in Monterey, California, counting algae and invertebrates along transects

Through the Giant Giant Kelp Restoration Project (G2KR), I dove to cull urchins and record data on urchin count and species in Monterey, California

I have experience building and caring for coral nurseries while conducting thesis research in Tobago, working as a divemaster in Honduras and Bonaire, and volunteering at the Cape Eleuthera Institute in the Bahamas
